Video Statement by Andrew Duff (AFCO Coordinator - ALDE-ADLE) on 2004-2009 ALDE Achievements.

Much of the work of this committee has been dominated by the draft European Constitution and subsequent reflection period culminating in the Treaty of Lisbon which is currently awaiting the end of a ratification process in all Member States.

The ALDE group has been at the heart of all developments and has published a short guide to the new Treaty and several pamphlets explaining the process and the challenges.

ALDE also was present at the ministerial negotiations in Lisbon to finalise the Treaty which is intended to replace the Treaty of Nice dating from 2000.
